May we present a never before seen event at

the Mayville Library, a new and fun way to get

into the Halloween spirit, our 2020 Halloween

Short Story Writing Contest!

The time has come to channel your inner writer and take literature into your own hands! Any teenager or adult (ages 13+) can write an original Halloween story and submit it to us here at the library to enter the pool of stories that the public themselves will vote on!
Our top three prize winners will be announced on Halloween.

Remember, you don't have to be a professional writer to join in and
have some fun this spooky season.

Do you have a child that would like to do some story writing of their own alongside you?

Here are a few Halloween Mad Libs you can print out for your young writers.

Feel free to send us a copy of your child's finished story! You could also bring
the printed sheet into the library and show one of the librarians at the desk and we'd be happy to
reward your child's efforts with a piece of candy!
